App Submission
The Submission section guides you through the process of publishing your mobile app after your design is ready. This flow starts after you have created at…
Overview
Once your mobile app design is ready, use App Submission to prepare and submit your app to the Apple App Store, Google Play, or both.
Ego guides you through the information required by each store and handles the technical submission work after you complete the setup.
During the submission process, you will:
Choose whether you are publishing a brand-new app or migrating an existing one.
Complete your App Store and Google Play listing information.
Choose which developer account will publish the app.
Review all information.
Submit your app to Ego for preparation and store review.
Ego then prepares and signs your app builds, uploads them to the selected stores, handles supported review feedback, and keeps you updated as the submission progresses.
Before you begin
Before starting the submission, make sure:
Your app design is complete and has been tested.
Your branding and navigation are ready.
You know whether this is a new app or an existing app migration.
Your store listing content and images are prepared.
You have an accessible Privacy Policy URL and support information.
If you plan to use your own developer accounts, those accounts are active and accessible.
You can save your progress and return to the submission flow later.
Step 1: Start App Submission
From Shopify Admin:
Open Ego Mobile Builder.
Go to App Design.
Click Publish
Click Get started.
The overview explains what you need to provide and what Ego will handle after you submit.

Step 2: Choose your submission type
Under How are you submitting?, choose how your app should be published.
Brand-new app
Select Brand-new app when your business does not currently have an app published on the selected store.
Ego will prepare a new app and create new store listings for the App Store and/or Google Play.
Choose this option when:
This is your first mobile app.
Your previous app is no longer being reused.
You want to publish under a completely new app identity.

Migrate an existing app
Select Migrate an existing app when your app is already live on the App Store or Google Play and you want the Ego-built version to replace it as an update.
Migration helps preserve the existing app identity where supported instead of publishing a separate new app.

When you select migration, additional information is required.
For iOS
Provide:
Access to the current App Store Connect account
iOS Bundle ID
Current App Store listing URL
The Bundle ID must match the app that is currently published.
For Android
Provide:
Access to the current Google Play Console account
Package name / Application ID
Current Google Play listing URL
Existing app-signing information
If you still have your Android keystore or upload key, upload it and provide the required signing information.
If the key is unavailable, select No keystore / lost upload key and Ego will guide you through the available recovery or reset process.
Make sure the Bundle ID and Android Package name belong to the existing live app. Incorrect identifiers may prevent the new build from being submitted as an update.
When the required information is ready, click Continue.
Step 3: Complete App detail & listing
In App detail & listing, select where you want to publish your app:
App Store
Google Play
Or both
Then complete the required store information.
Shared basics
This information is used across the selected stores:
App name
Primary and secondary category
Privacy Policy URL
Support email and URL
App description
App icon
App screenshots

App Store
If you select App Store, also provide:
Subtitle
Promotional text
Keywords
Marketing URL
Google Play
If you select Google Play, also provide:
Short description

Make sure all text, screenshots, and images accurately represent your current app.
When all required fields are complete, click Continue.
Step 4: Choose your developer account
In Account, choose which developer account will be used to publish your app.
Ego Builder Account
Choose this option if you want Ego to publish the app using our managed developer accounts.
No developer account setup is required from you.
Your own accounts
Choose this option if you want the app published under your own Apple Developer and/or Google Play accounts.
You will need to invite Ego to the selected developer accounts so our team can prepare, upload, and submit the app.
You do not need to share your password or verification codes.
For step-by-step instructions, see How to Invite Ego to Your Developer Accounts.

Once your account option and required access are ready, click Continue.
