Preview App User Guide

Overview

The Ego Mobile Preview allows you to view your app design on a real mobile device before submitting your app to the App Store or Google Play.

After creating your app design in the Ego Mobile Builder, you can use the Ego Live Preview to:

• Experience your app layout on a real device
• Test navigation and UI behavior
• Review branding, colors, and typography
• Check product display and content structure
• Validate the overall mobile shopping experience

The preview app connects to your design through a QR code, making it quick and easy to test your app anytime during development.

Before using the preview app, make sure that:

• You have created at least one app design
• Your design has been saved in the Ego Mobile Builder
• You have access to a mobile device (iOS or Android)
• Your device has internet access

To view your app preview, you first need to install the Ego Live Preview on your mobile device.

For iOS Devices

1. Open the Apple App Store
2. Search for Ego Live Preview
3. Install the preview app on your device

For Android Devices

1. Open Google Play
2. Search for Ego Live Preview
3. Install the preview app

Once the app is installed, open it on your mobile device.

Next, return to the Ego Mobile Builder on your computer.

1. Go to Preview App inside the platform
2. Select the design you want to preview
3. The system will generate a QR code

This QR code connects your preview app to your current app design.

Now use your mobile device to connect to the design.

1. Open the Ego Live Preview on your phone
2. Tap Scan QR Code
3. Use your device camera to scan the QR code displayed in the builder

Once the QR code is scanned successfully, the preview app will load your app design automatically.

After scanning the QR code, your app will open in preview mode.

You can now interact with the app just like a real user would.

Things you can review include:

• Home screen layout
• Navigation flow
• Product listing pages
• Product detail pages
• Branding elements (colors, typography, icons)
• Banners and promotional sections
• Menu and navigation components

This preview allows you to test the real mobile experience before submitting your app.

If you make changes to your design in the Ego Mobile Builder, you can refresh the preview to see the updated version.

Typical workflow:

1. Update the design in the builder
2. Save your changes
3. Refresh the preview inside the preview app

Your preview will update to reflect the latest design.

You should use the preview app during these stages:

• After creating your initial app design
• After updating branding or navigation
• When testing layout or UI changes
• Before starting the app submission process

Previewing your design helps ensure the final app experience matches your expectations.

To get the most accurate preview experience:

• Test on a real mobile device
• Navigate through multiple screens
• Check button interactions and scrolling behavior
• Verify images and banners load correctly
• Ensure text and typography are readable
• Review navigation menus and tabs

Testing your design thoroughly helps avoid issues before app submission.

QR Code Cannot Be Scanned

Check the following:

• Your device camera has permission enabled
• The QR code is clearly visible
• The device has internet access
• The preview app is updated to the latest version

Try scanning the QR code again if the connection fails.

Preview Does Not Load the Latest Design

If your preview shows an older design:

1. Confirm that your changes were saved
2. Refresh the preview in the preview app
3. Re-scan the QR code if necessary

Preview App Cannot Connect

Possible causes include:

• Internet connectivity issues
• Expired QR code session
• Builder session timeout

Generate a new QR code and scan again.

• The preview app is intended for testing and reviewing design only.
• It does not represent the final published app version.
• Some features that require live integrations may behave differently in preview mode.
• Always review your app thoroughly before moving to the Submission step.

A typical workflow when building your app is:

1. Create your app design
2. Configure branding and navigation
3. Open Ego Live Preview
4. Scan the QR code with the preview app
5. Test your design on a real device
6. Make adjustments if needed
7. Proceed to App Submission
