Overview

The App Design section helps you quickly build and customize the customer-facing experience of your mobile app.

You can:

• Apply a ready-made theme template from the Themes Library.

• Customize supported app screens and components.

• Add, remove, and reorder sections.

• Preview changes immediately in the editor.

• Test the latest design on a mobile device using Ego Live Preview.

The Themes Library provides ready-made app designs that you can apply immediately.

Each theme includes a pre-built layout, visual style, and component arrangement designed for a specific store type, such as furniture, beauty, or wellness.

To use a theme:

1. Open App Design.

2. Browse the available themes.

3. Click View Detail to preview the theme.

4. Click Apply Theme to use it for your app.

5. Customize the content, branding, and layout to match your store.

Applying a theme gives you a complete starting layout, so you do not need to build every screen from scratch.

You can customize these essential screens:

• Search: Search Start, Search Result, Search Empty

• Cart: Cart Page, Cart Empty

You can also create Custom screens for campaigns, collections, or other dedicated content.

Available components depend on the selected screen.

Component availability may depend on your app plan and enabled integrations.

For each screen, you can:

• Add supported components.

• Drag and drop components to reorder them.

• Edit images, text, products, collections, and display settings.

• Hide or remove components.

• Review changes in the preview.

Changes appear in the editor preview while you customize the screen.

For a more accurate mobile experience:

1. Save your changes.

2. Open Ego Live Preview.

3. Connect to your store.

4. Review the updated screens and interactions on your device.

• Applying a theme replaces the current design layout, so review your existing design before confirming.

• Theme templates can still be fully customized after being applied.

• Components are configured separately for each screen.

• Custom screens must be linked from navigation, a banner, or another supported component.

• Integrated components require the related integration to be enabled.

• Customers only see the updated design after it is published.

1. Can I create my own app design without using a theme template?
Yes. You can build your app based on your own design ideas by adding, arranging, and customizing the available components on each supported screen. A theme template is optional and can be used as a starting point if you prefer.

2. Will applying a new theme replace my current design?
No. If your plan supports multiple designs, applying a new theme creates a separate design without affecting your current one. You can then customize the new design independently.

3. Can I customize a theme after applying it?
Yes. You can continue editing the layout, branding, content, navigation, and components after applying a theme.

4. What is a Custom Screen?
A Custom Screen is an additional screen you create beyond the standard app screens such as Home, Product Detail, or Cart. You can use it for campaigns, landing pages, curated collections, or other dedicated content, then link it from navigation, banners, or supported components.

5. Can I create and manage multiple app designs?
Yes, if your plan supports multiple designs. You can create and customize different designs in parallel while keeping your current published design unchanged until you are ready to publish another one.

6. How can I preview my app before publishing it?
You can preview changes directly in the editor or use Ego Live Preview to test the latest saved design on a mobile device.

7. When will customers see my design changes?
Customers will see the updated design only after you publish the changes.
