Do customers need a discount code?
No. Gifts are discounted by an automatic Shopify discount ("Ego Free Gift Discount") the moment they qualify — the gift shows in the cart already discounted, nothing to type at checkout.
What if the customer removes items and no longer qualifies?
Enable Works in reverse in the campaign's advanced settings — the gift is removed automatically when the condition is no longer met. We recommend this on every campaign; without it, shoppers can keep the free gift after emptying their cart.
Can gifts stack with my discount codes?
Yes — the app's automatic discount combines with product, order, and shipping discounts, so customers can use a code and still get the gift. To keep specific promos exclusive, schedule campaigns so they don't overlap, or use Stop on Match + priorities between your own campaigns.
Can customers choose their gift's size or color?
Yes — set the claim behavior to Give customers a choice of products to add; the "Congratulations" pop-up lets them pick the product and its variant. Auto-add mode is better for variant-less gifts.
Can I run several campaigns at once?
Yes. Control the interplay with Priority (lower runs first) and Stop on Match (winner takes all). For milestone campaigns, the distribution rule decides whether customers get all eligible rewards or only the nearest milestone.
Can I schedule a campaign in advance?
Yes — every campaign has a start date/time and an optional end date/time. Set up your seasonal promo days ahead; it activates and expires on its own.
Do gift orders affect my inventory?
Yes — gifts are real line items on the order (at 100% off), so Shopify tracks their stock and they appear in order exports and fulfillment like any product. Keep an eye on gift stock during big promos; when a gift sells out, swap the gift product in the campaign.
How do I stop the same customer claiming the gift repeatedly?
Add the Customer's order history sub-condition and use its limit a number of uses per customer option — e.g. each customer can redeem the welcome gift once.
How do I know if a campaign is actually working?
Compare Campaign AOV vs. Non-campaign AOV in analytics — offers should lift order value, not just give products away. Per-campaign Views → ATCs → CR shows where the funnel leaks: high views + low ATCs usually means the threshold is too high or the gift isn't motivating.
