Importing Subscriptions from Another App
Migrate existing contracts with a CSV file — reviewed, selective, and support-assisted.
How migration works
Switching from another subscription app (Recharge, Appstle, Seal, etc.)? Your existing subscriber contracts can be imported so billing continues without interruption. The flow:
- Export your subscriptions from the current app (every major app has a CSV export).
- Prepare the CSV following our template — the import page links it, and the banner reminds you: contact support if you need help mapping your columns.
- Upload the file under Subscriptions → Import Subscriptions.
- Review and migrate — nothing goes live until you explicitly migrate rows.
Review before migrating
Uploaded rows land in the Not yet migrated tab, showing each subscription's ID, customer name and email, status, frequency, next billing date, and total price. Check a few rows against your old app to confirm the mapping looks right.
Then either:
- select specific rows and click Migrate Subscriptions, or
- click Migrate All — with the option to migrate only active and paused subscriptions (recommended; cancelled contracts usually aren't worth importing).
Migrated rows move to the Migrated tab so you always know what's done.
Important notes
- Payment methods: whether stored payment methods carry over depends on your gateway (Shopify Payments customers keep their cards; imported contracts from external gateways may require the customer to confirm payment). Our team will confirm this for your specific setup before you migrate.
- Next billing dates are preserved from the CSV — double-check a few so nobody gets billed early.
- Turn off billing in the old app before migrating, so customers aren't charged twice.
Migrations touch live billing — we strongly recommend doing them together with our team via the in-app chat. We'll validate your CSV and watch the first billing cycles with you.
