Thank You Page Upsell
Display additional product recommendations on the Thank You page and encourage customers to place a follow-up order after completing their purchase.
What is a Thank You Page Upsell campaign?
A Thank You Page Upsell campaign displays product recommendations on the order confirmation or Thank You page after a customer completes checkout.
Unlike a Post-purchase Upsell offer, products accepted from the Thank You page are generally added through a new purchase flow rather than being added directly to the completed order.
Use this campaign to:
Recommend products related to the customer’s recent purchase.
Promote limited-time offers after checkout.
Encourage customers to return and make another purchase.
Present complementary products while purchase intent is still high.
You can control:
Which purchased products trigger the campaign.
Which products are recommended.
Whether an upsell discount is applied.
The title, sub-title, announcement, and button text.
How long the offer remains available.
The number and order of products displayed.
Campaign setting
Creating a Thank You Page Upsell campaign consists of four parts:
Basic information
Offer
Content
Settings
1. Basic information
Configure the internal campaign name and campaign schedule.
1.1. Offer name
Enter a name to identify the campaign in the app.
The offer name is used for internal management only and will not be visible to customers.
1.2. Start date and time
Set the date and time when the campaign should begin.
The campaign will become available on eligible Thank You pages when the scheduled start time is reached.
1.3. End date and time
Enable Set end date and time when you want the campaign to stop automatically.
This is useful for limited-time promotions, seasonal campaigns, or offers tied to a specific sales period. Leave this option disabled when the campaign should continue running until you manually deactivate it.

2. Offer
Configure the products that trigger the campaign, the products recommended to customers, and any discount applied to the offer.
2.1. Trigger
Choose which products in the completed order make the Thank You Page Upsell eligible to appear.
All products: The campaign can appear after any completed order.
Specific products: The campaign appears when the completed order includes one or more selected products.
Products in specific collections: The campaign appears when the completed order includes a product from one or more selected collections.
Use specific products or collections when the offer is relevant only to certain purchases.
2.2. Offers
Choose how the products displayed on the Thank You page are selected.
Manual selection
Select the exact products you want to recommend.
Click Browse to search for and add offer products. This option gives you full control over which products customers see.
Basic AI — automated recommendations
Allow the app to automatically select relevant products based on the completed order. The data is taken from the app Shopify Search & Discovery.
2.3. Discount
Configure whether customers receive a discount on the recommended products.
Discount type
Select the discount type applied to eligible products.
No discount: Products are offered at their regular price.
Percentage: Applies a percentage discount.
Fixed amount: Applies a fixed monetary discount.
When a discount type is selected, enter the corresponding value in the Discount amount field.
Discount code
Enter the name used to identify the Thank You Page Upsell discount.
The discount code may be visible to customers when the offer is claimed. Use a short and understandable name, such as:
THANK YOU OFFEREXCLUSIVE DEAL
Apply discount to each eligible item in an order
Enable this option to apply the configured discount amount separately to every eligible offered item.
Enabled: Each eligible item receives the full discount amount.
Disabled: The configured discount amount is distributed across all eligible items.

3. Content
Customize the text and call-to-action displayed in the Thank You Page Upsell widget.
3.1. Header
Title
Enter the main heading displayed above the offer.
The title supports the {{discount}} template. When used, it is automatically replaced with the configured discount value.
Sub-title
Enter the supporting message displayed below the title.
Use the sub-title to explain the offer, create urgency, or encourage customers to consider the recommended products.
3.2. Announcement bar
Use the announcement bar to display a limited-time message above the recommended products.
Announcement
Enter the message shown in the announcement bar.
The field supports the {{timer}} template. Place this template where you want the countdown to appear.
Timer
Enter the number of minutes for the countdown.
The countdown is displayed wherever the {{timer}} template is included in the announcement text.
Note: The configured timer may be longer than the customer’s current Order Status Page session. The widget is removed when the customer leaves the page.
3.3. When the timer runs out
Choose what happens when the countdown reaches zero.
Restart
Resets the countdown and keeps the offer visible.
Use this when the timer is intended to create urgency without removing the campaign.
Hide offer
Removes the offer from the Thank You page when the countdown expires.
Customers will no longer be able to claim the offer from the current page.
Do nothing
Hides or stops the countdown while keeping the offer visible.
Customers can still review and claim the recommended products after the timer ends.
3.4. You may also like
Enter the heading displayed above the recommended product list.
3.5. Buttons
Enter the label displayed on the primary call-to-action button.

4. Settings
Control campaign priority and how recommended products are displayed.
4.1. Priority
Enter a priority number to determine the order in which campaigns are evaluated.
Campaigns with lower numbers are evaluated first. For example, a campaign with priority 1 is evaluated before campaigns with priority 2 or 3.
Use priority when multiple Thank You Page Upsell campaigns may match the same completed order.
4.2. Allow multiple quantities
Enable this setting to let customers select more than one unit of an offered product.
Leave it disabled when each offered product should only be selected once.
4.3. Don’t show products that are already in the cart
Enable this setting to exclude products already included in the customer’s completed order.
This helps avoid recommending products the customer has just purchased.
4.4. Randomize offer product order
Enable this setting to vary the order in which recommended products appear.
This can provide more balanced visibility when the campaign contains several products.
4.5. Limit offered products shown
Enable this setting to restrict how many recommended products are displayed in the widget.
Use it to keep the Thank You page focused and easy to review.
4.6. Paginate products
Enable pagination to divide recommended products into multiple pages or groups. In short, it limits how many products are shown to the customers at one time, in one widget frame.
