Question Settings & Behavior

Per-question toggles and content fields — what each does and when to use it.

Per-question settings

Every question has an advanced settings panel. Availability depends on the question type:

SettingWhat it doesTip
RequiredThe customer must answer before continuing.Use sparingly — every required question costs completions.
RandomizeShuffles answer options per respondent.Turn on for attribution questions to avoid first-option bias.
Alphabetical orderSorts options A→Z.Good for long neutral lists.
Other optionAdds an "Other" answer with a free-text field.Almost always worth enabling on choice questions.
Show labelLabels on scale endpoints (left / center / right).Anchors the scale ("Poor" / "Excellent").
Multiple selectionAllow more than one pick on list-style questions.
Change layoutButton List & Image Choice: Vertical, 2 Columns, or 3 Columns.2 columns fits most mobile screens best.
Show discount summarySurfaces the reward summary on the question.Use with Promo Code flows so customers know a reward awaits.

Content fields

Each question also has content fields: a heading (the question itself), an optional description (clarify what you're asking), the answer options, an input placeholder, and a max characters limit for text answers. Image Choice questions take an image per option with size, brightness, and border controls.

Pages, order, and progress

Questions live on pages. Per page you set a title, a description, how many questions per page show at once, and the order (drag to rearrange). Multi-page surveys show a progress bar — its color is styled per channel in the appearance settings.

Keep on-site widget surveys short: one to three questions per page converts best. Save longer questionnaires for the standalone page or email channel, and open them with a Welcome Screen.
