Survey Templates
Six ready-made starting points — what each is for and when to use it.
The template gallery
When you click Create new survey, Ego Surveys opens a template gallery. Every template is a complete, editable survey — questions, wording, and channel suggestions included. Pick the one closest to your goal; you'll customize everything afterwards.
The templates and when to use them
| Template | Questions included | Use when you want to… |
|---|---|---|
| Post-purchase survey | How the customer found you, why they bought today, checkout experience rating, promo opt-in. | Measure marketing attribution and checkout UX. Pair with the Thank you page channel. |
| Exit intent survey | What stopped the visitor, would a discount bring them back, what to improve. | Understand why visitors leave without buying. Pair with the Exit Intent channel. |
| NPS survey | 0–10 "how likely to recommend", reason for the score, updates opt-in. | Track overall customer satisfaction over time. Works well as an email survey after delivery. |
| Product feedback survey | Matched description?, quality rating, repurchase intent, open comments. | Improve product pages and catch quality issues early. Send by email days after fulfillment. |
| Abandoned checkout survey | Why the purchase wasn't completed, would a discount help, should support reach out. | Diagnose checkout friction. |
| Blank | — | Build your own from scratch. |
Customize after choosing
Templates are starting points, not cages: rewrite every question, add or remove questions, change question types, switch channels and targeting, and restyle the appearance — nothing is locked. The fastest path to a good survey is usually template → delete what you don't need → adjust wording to your brand voice.
