Eligibility Rules & Customer Targeting

Every sub-condition explained, with example setups for the common scenarios.

Which products count

First, decide what the qualifying purchase applies to: All products, Collections, Product tags, or Specific products. This controls which items move the customer toward the reward.

Sub-conditions — who gets the offer

Then click Add sub condition to narrow the audience. Available conditions:

Customer's statusLogged in / logged out.
Product priceOnly items above/below a price qualify.
Subscription productsOnly subscription or only one-time purchases.
Specific link addressThe offer activates only for visitors arriving via a special shareable link (e.g. ?summersale2024) that the editor generates for you.

Ready-made recipes

  • Welcome gift: New customer + cart value ≥ $50 → free sample. Converts first-timers without giving margin to regulars.
  • VIP reward: Customer tags contains vip → gift at any spend. Pair with a Shopify segment that auto-tags your best customers.
  • Email-exclusive: Specific link address → share the link only in your newsletter; visitors from anywhere else don't see the offer.
  • Geo promo: Customer location = your domestic market → free-shipping milestone (international shipping costs stay protected).

When testing targeted campaigns yourself, remember you're usually a logged-in, returning customer — use an incognito window to see what a new visitor sees.
