Which sub-conditions require customers to log in?

Some sub-conditions in Ego Free Gift rely on Shopify customer data. For these conditions to work correctly, the customer must be logged in to their Shopify customer account so the app can identify them and access the required information.

Sub-Conditions That Require Login

  • Customer's Order History

Customers must be logged in when the campaign uses conditions based on their previous order history, such as: Total amount spent, Amount spent on the last order, Number of orders placed, Number of times the offer can be used per customer

Without login, the app cannot identify the customer and check their previous order data.

  • Customer Tags

Customers must be logged in for the app to check their Shopify customer tags.

For example, if an offer is available only to customers with a VIP tag, the customer needs to log in before the app can verify that they are eligible.

Note: Logged-out visitors are treated as having no customer tags. Therefore, an exclude by tag condition may still allow logged-out visitors to qualify.

What Happens If the Customer Is Not Logged In?

If a campaign uses a condition that requires customer identification, the app may not be able to confirm whether a logged-out visitor qualifies for the offer.

For the most accurate eligibility checks, we recommend informing customers that they need to log in before adding products to their cart when your campaign uses Customer's Order History or Customer Tags conditions.
